Balsa Plane Kit - Investigate (Possible Solutions)

Possible solutions:

There are many possible options of what my finalised kit could contain. The purpose of laying out the table below is to consider all of the possibilities and to choose the most effective kit.

Kit 1
Envelope, Balsa wood, written instructions, template,

Evolution 1
Add visual instructions for maximised precision
Evolution 2
Draw the shapes of the different plane parts onto the balsa wood to reduce the time taken by student to complete the plane.
Evolution 3
Simplify instructions
Kit 2
Cardboard box, Balsa wood, sandpaper, visual instructions

Evolution 1
Add captions and labels describing the construction process on the visual instructions
Evolution 2
Pre-cut balsa wood but let the students sand it themselves
Evolution 3
Add written instructions so the student can visualise the construction as well as read the method step by step
Kit 3
Bucket, Pre-cut balsa wood, sandpaper, filmed step by step instructions on a USB

Evolution 1
Don't pre-cut balsa wood but give a detailed 'how to' on the filmed instructions
Evolution 2
Trace the plane parts onto the balsa wood to reduce time taken by student
Evolution 3

I have decided to present the kit in a bucket. It will contain a detailed written method as well as some visual instructions. This will increase the clarity of instructions. The balsa wood supplied will be a mixture of pre cut but I will allow the student to cut out some pieces of their own. I will pre cut the fuselage as it is very thick and long but I will stencil the wings and stabilizers onto the balsa wood. This way, the student can cut the pieces with ease. I will also supply sand paper.
